Maruti Suzuki launched Vitara Brezza in March 2016 and brought a revolution in the compact SUV or more precisely, the crossover segment of India. The car took just few months to become the number one selling UV of India, recently taking the sales of UV up by 90.9 percent for Maruti Suzuki last month. It was the production limitation which pushed it back by few numbers, otherwise it would have scored an even bigger number in the sales due to its pending bookings. The car is actually what most of the Maruti fans were waiting from last few years, mixing the excellent fuel economy from the Swift with higher ground clearance and rugged appeal.
According to Maxabout, Vitara Brezza is powered by a single engine option, being a 1.3 L turbo diesel motor producing 88.8 BHP and 200 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox and could be launched with an AMT in the coming months. The car will even get a petrol motor to cope with buyers that prefer petrol car over the diesel ones. The high 198 mm of ground clearance makes it ideal for Indian roads while its excellent dual tone paint finish made it the best looking car around its price tag.
Vitara Brezza is sold through regular Maruti Suzuki dealerships, carrying variants named LDI, VDI and ZDI and ZDI Plus. Optional variants with dual front airbags and ABS are also offered on the lower trims. The fully loaded Vitara Brezza is offered with 16 inch alloy wheels, dual tone body paint with contrast floating roof, Smartplay infotainment system and all safety features as standard. The price for the car starts at INR 7,19,004 for the base variant and goes up to INR 9,88,004 for the topmost variant. The prices mentioned are ex-showroom Delhi.
